Why Blue and Pink?
The Poligras Olympia is definitely the talk of London, but many are asking “why blue and pink?” The non-traditional colors of the turf are proving to have positive impacts for both spectators and the sport of field hockey itself. Whether watching the event live from Riverbank Arena or watching from the comfort their own home, spectators are commenting on how eye catching the blue and pink turf is and how much easier it is to follow the yellow ball, which at times is moving in excess of 100 kmph/60 mph! The players are thrilled that the sport is now receiving added attention from the brightly colored turf. The extra draw to Riverbank Arena and additional television viewers tuning in to see what all the buzz is about is adding to the sport’s fan base.
