The Mutitjulu Community can now enjoy multi-sports with the stunning view of Ayres Rock in the background.
500m2 of dual coloured Laykold surface has catapulted the extremely weathered bare asphalt tennis court at Uluru into the 21st Century. Thanks to NT Sports & Playground Surfacing, who installed the Mutitjulu Community with their new multi-sports court with line marking and equipment for basketball and tennis.
The original court was initially ground back and 2 coats of Laykold base coat was applied to fill the deep voids and cracks in the old, extremely weathered court. A layer of asphalt transformer was applied, followed by 2 additional coats of Laykold top coat.
Laykold’s hard wearing qualities, bright colours and reduced slip texture make it the perfect choice for the extreme environment of the Northern Territory outback.
Westcoast Synthetic Surfacing has brightened up the school day and made playtime more enjoyable for the kids at Redcliffe Primary School WA, by resurfacing the quadrangle with our highly durable & colourful Laykold surface.
The old badly cracked, bare & uneven asphalt was ground right back, primed with Base Coat and a reinforcing membrane applied to cover the extensive cracks. 2 coats of Resurfacer and a further 2 top coats of Laykold in dual colours to finalise the transformation from drab to fab!
Colourful line marking has enabled this hard-wearing area to be utilised for a variety of sports, and after installing new dual purpose goal posts, the project was ready for the rigorous demands of the Redcliffe Primary School cohort.
The anti-slip properties of the Laykold surface mean that students can safely utilise the area in both wet & dry weather – no mess, no worries.
